Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of Accountability IRL. By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Accountability IRL. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@accountabilityirl.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Post false, misleading, or deceptive content
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest user data
- Use the app to send spam or unsolicited messages
4. User Content
You retain ownership of content you create (goals, messages, profile information). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display that content solely to operate the service.
You are solely responsible for your content. We do not endorse any user content and are not liable for content posted by users.
5. Premium Subscriptions
Premium features are available via monthly ($8.99/month) or annual ($54.99/year) subscription. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID or Google Play account. A 7-day free trial is offered to new subscribers. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. We do not issue refunds for partial subscription periods.
6. Content Moderation
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. We may use automated tools and human reviewers to enforce our policies. We are not obligated to moderate all content and are not liable for user-generated content.
7. Sample Content
To improve your experience, we may display sample or curated profiles to demonstrate app functionality. These profiles are clearly distinguishable from real users over time.
8. Disclaimers
Accountability IRL is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or available at all times. We are not responsible for the actions of other users.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
